Gehring Construction was founded in 1949 by the late Walter Gehring. After serving in WWII as an aircraft mechanic, he began working with concrete in Columbus, NE. Walter and his partner specialized in residential concrete and block foundations. The business grew and was incorporated in 1971.We entered the retail concrete market the same year establishing a ready-mixed concrete plant. Our construction crews provide commercial and residential concrete work specializing in street and highway paving. We continue to enhance our facilities and equipment to better serve our customers.
